Máirín Uí Chéide hails from Leitirmóir, Co na Gaillimhe, Ireland. Born and raised in this Gaeltacht village steeped in the language . Acclaimed seanós singer and language activist. Lives in Boston with her family , the Gaeltacht away from home.


Is as baile aerach Leitirmóir í Máirín Uí Chéide. Tá aithne uirthe mar amhránaí seanóis den scoth. Tá sí díograsach in imeachtaí teangan agus cultúrtha ó tháinig sí go Boston. I 1987.
